Barbie of Swan Lake is a 2003 direct-to-video Barbie film directed by Owen Hurley. It is the third in a series of computer animated Barbie films, and features the voice of Kelly Sheridan as Barbie. The story is loosely adapted from the Swan Lake ballet and features the music of Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky. This is the third and final Barbie film narrated by Barbie to her little sister Kelly.The story is being told by Barbie to her little sister Kelly, who is feeling uneasy about being at camp overnight for the first time. The story begins when Princess Odette follows a unicorn named Lilia into an Enchanted Forest. There she is trapped and transformed into a swan by the evil wizard Rothbart, who wants to use Odette to defeat his enemy the Fairy Queen. The Fairy Queen is able to partially counter the spell so that Odette retains her human by night, although she will still have to turn into a swan by day. Odette, now under an enchantment, cannot return home and remains in the Enchanted Forest. Odette learns from various characters that she meets that it is her destiny to save the Enchanted Forest and defeat Rothbart. One day Odette meets Prince Daniel, and it is love at first sight. Daniel asks Odette to a ball and she accepts. When Rothbarts learns of this, he intervenes and turns the Fairy Queen into a mouse and transforms his daughter Odile to look like Odette in the eyes of the Prince.
